Phil Koch
Phil joined Fairmont as an Analyst in the Boston Office in 2021. He focuses primarily on engagements across the commercial, military, and general aviation sectors, specifically within the aftermarket services landscape. Phil has supported over two dozen aerospace engagements during his time at Fairmont; he offers clients deep expertise in engine and airframe supply chains. Phil regularly develops detailed bottoms-up market and revenue models to help contextualize various aspects of the aerospace aftermarket and illustrate potential opportunities for share gain.
Before joining Fairmont, Phil served as an Analyst with Pratt & Whitney’s Engine Leasing division where he developed a strategic analysis of the company’s $300M V2500 lease engine fleet in order to balance customer demands and EBIT goals. Phil also worked with the Contract Cost Modeling & Analytics group where he identified several large ($40M+) overhaul shop visit cost reduction opportunities within the High Pressure Turbine module. These experiences provided Phil with a highly detailed knowledge of the turbine engine aftermarket landscape, OEM preferences, and the aircraft leasing environment.
Phil graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ohio State University where he earned a B.S.B.A. in International Business and a minor in Aviation. During his education, Phil interned as a Global Markets Analyst with the National Bank of Abu Dhabi in Mumbai and completed a semester long exchange in Santiago, Chile where he studied corporate strategy development in Latin America. Phil is an avid pilot and holds a Private Pilot Certificate & Instrument Rating from the Federal Aviation Administration.
Jack McInnis
Jack McInnis joined Fairmont as an Analyst in the Boston Office in 2021. He primarily focuses on engagements in the national security and government services sectors, specifically within the defense electronics, missiles, and naval verticals. Jack has supported over 50 defense and aerospace engagements during his time at Fairmont; he offers clients deep insights into numerous defense budget dynamics and evolving market trends. Jack leads the development of detailed market and revenue models for the firm, helping clients better understand companies’ competitive positionings and opportunities for potential market share gain.
Prior to joining the firm, Jack was employed as an engineer at Raytheon Missiles & Defense, where he was responsible for improving the maintainability and reliability of the AN/TPY-2 radar for the Missile Defense Agency and foreign customers. While at Raytheon, he received numerous achievement awards for his contributions toward multiple international programs and completed his Six Sigma certification while holding a Secret clearance.
Jack graduated Summa Cum Laude with honors from Trinity College in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering. He was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa and was awarded the Senior Research Prize for Engineering and the Second Prize for the Phi Gamma Delta Award in Mathematics.
Jacob Johansen
Jacob joined Fairmont’s Boston office in 2021 and focuses on the space and defense sectors. He is the author of Fairmont’s satellite and launch vehicle market models that are used in all space-related engagements for market sizing, trend analysis, and competitive assessments.
Jacob’s previous experience includes roles as a Summer Analyst at Fairmont in 2020 and with Collins Aerospace in 2019. At Collins Aerospace, Jacob worked within the Missile and Systems team supporting competitive intelligence and corporate strategy objectives. Major initiatives included price-to-win strategies, technology roadmapping, and opportunity assessments.
Jacob graduated in 2021 from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Policy Analysis & Management. His studies included research on U.S. infrastructure policy and public-private partnerships. Jacob held positions as President of the Global Economics & Finance Society, as well as Business Development Lead for the Cornell Hyperloop engineering project team.
Macy Blyskal
Macy Blyskal is a Senior Analyst at Fairmont based out of its Boston office. Since joining in January 2023 following an internship the previous summer, Macy has contributed to over 25 buy-side, sell-side, and strategic engagements spanning aerospace, defense, and government services. Over the course of her time at Fairmont, Macy has cultivated a specialization in artificial intelligence and has developed numerous AI tools used internally by Fairmont. Macy leads efforts to further the Firm’s ability to leverage AI and plays a pivotal role in engagements centering on artificial intelligence and autonomy.
Prior to joining Fairmont, Macy interned at Setna iO, a Chicago-based commercial aircraft aftermarket parts supplier, where she coordinated aircraft part outs. Macy has also previously interned on the Aerospace & Defense team at Springhill Consulting Group. Macy’s research has been published in Science for her work aiding in the development of a catalyst for coupling of propane dehydrogenation to selective H2 combustion at Northwestern University’s McCormick College of Engineering.
Macy graduated early with Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign Grainger College of Engineering with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering, focusing on autonomous systems and sustainable aviation. While in college, she led a team to place second in the 2022 AIAA Undergraduate Design Competition with a concept for a novel aerial firefighter. Macy also led the prototyping and flight testing of a sub-scale eVTOL air shuttle and participated in Army ROTC. Additionally, she has completed the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy certificate program.
Outside of work, Macy volunteers as an English tutor with ENGin, which pairs Ukrainian students with volunteers for speaking practice and cross-cultural exchange. She is also a mentor with Minds Matter Boston.
Emily Lewis
Emily joined Fairmont in the Boston office as an Analyst in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Emily was an Investment Banking Analyst at KippsDeSanto & Co., a subsidiary of Capital One. While at Kipps, she was staffed on several live deals and was responsible for creating marketing materials, helping build financial models, and assisting with data room management. As a member of the Government Technology Services team, she led monthly industry overview presentations and oversaw the M&A transaction database. Emily also served as a Summer Analyst mentor and previously interned with the firm in 2021.
Emily graduated from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business (“MSB”) in 2022. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with majors in Finance & Management and a minor in Classics. While at Georgetown, Emily was an intern for Athletics Communications, Vice President of Hoya Blue, and an MSB Peer Ambassador.
Mariana McManus
Mariana joined Fairmont’s Boston Office as an Analyst in 2023, where she has since supported both strategic and diligence engagements across the commercial aerospace, government services and defense electronics markets. Prior to joining the firm, Mariana worked as an engineer for Pratt and Whitney, upholding a design role supporting the F135 Engine Core Upgrade for the F-35 Lightning II flown by the U.S Air Force, and a project role supporting Pratt and Whitney’s F117/PW200, V2500 and PW4000 112″ programs. Most noteworthy was Mariana’s position as an integrated project team leader on a F117 combustor durability improvement for the C-17 Globemaster flown by the U.S Air Force. Throughout her tenure, Mariana received three project awards, nominations for two company-wide leadership awards and was recognized as a top new hire.
Prior to Pratt and Whitney, Mariana interned at TEAM Inc. as a project engineer and supported R&D of Carbon Matrix Composite (CMC) airfoils for United Technologies and Pratt & Whitney.
Mariana graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Business. While at Syracuse, Mariana was a member of both the Varsity Women’s Track Team, Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity and Sigma Gamma Tau, The National Aerospace Engineering Honors Society.
Jack Marquardt
Jack joined Fairmont’s Boston office as an Analyst in 2024. Prior to joining the firm, Jack worked as an intern at Audax Private Equity, where he worked on all parts of the investment process —including sourcing, due diligence, and post-acquisition value creation projects. During his time with Audax, he contributed to a live platform deal related to the cybersecurity space and worked with portfolio companies in the Industrial Services, Cybersecurity, and Business Services industries. Jack has also worked for two LP investment teams (medical foundation and family office), and for a Search Fund which successfully acquired an Industrial Services business.
Jack graduated cum laude from Williams College in 2024. He was a member of the Varsity Williams Swim Team where he earned All-NESCAC Academic honors. He was also involved with the Williams Consulting Club where he served on a range of projects that included the launch of a localized digital currency, several consumer businesses, and an education non-profit. Jack also worked for the Williams Accessible Education Office, volunteered for an environmental organization, and taught swim lessons.
Joseph Bonvie
Joseph joined Fairmont’s Boston Office as an Analyst in 2024. Before joining Fairmont, Joseph interned as a Private Equity Summer Analyst on the investment team at Graham Partners. In this role, he was staffed on multiple live deals, where he was responsible for creating investment committee presentation materials, completing customer and supplier due diligence, and helping build financial models. Joseph has also previously interned as an Investment Banking Analyst with AGC Partners.
Joseph graduated from Dartmouth College in 2024 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, Philosophy, and Economics. As a student, he participated in various pre-professional organizations such as Dartmouth’s Social Impact Non-profit Consulting club and TAMID Group’s consulting team. Additionally, Joseph spent a semester at the London School of Economics where he completed coursework in the International Political Economy, Policy Writing, and Migration Policy.
