A Look into the Major Changes
In commercial aerospace, we observed acquisitions completing C4ISR portfolios, without triggering regulatory concerns, and mid-tier federal contractors merging to compete against primes.
In the defense sector, we saw sustained, growing interest in C4ISR and cybersecurity with a number of acquisitions. Most notably, Marlin Equity Partners acquired Fidelis Cybersecurity from General Dynamics, allowing them to offer a more comprehensive portfolio of services combating threats and data theft.
In government services, we watched SAIC bolster its presence in the intelligence market and leading big data/cyber security firm, The Carlyle Group. trade private equity hands.
