Aral joined Fairmont’s Boston office as an Analyst in 2024. Prior to joining Fairmont, Aral was a fluid systems engineer at General Dynamics Electric Boat. During his engineering tenure Aral made impactful contributions to the design and construction of Virginia and Columbia class submarines, as well as SSN(X) concepts. Beyond engineering, Aral directed and revised ship certification processes, and led an effort to develop submarine design process maps. He has held a Secret security clearance.
Aral graduated summa cum laude from the George Washington University in 2022 with a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering and an aerospace concentration. During college, Aral was deeply involved with the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, where he was the chairperson of his university student branch. He is also an avid cellist, having won his university’s solo competition in 2020, and having performed with orchestras in New York, Washington D.C, and Shanghai.
