Jacob Johansen

Jacob joined Fairmont’s Boston office in 2021 and focuses on the space and defense sectors. He is the author of Fairmont’s satellite and launch vehicle market models that are used in all space-related engagements for market sizing, trend analysis, and competitive assessments. 

Jacob’s previous experience includes roles as a Summer Analyst at Fairmont in 2020 and with Collins Aerospace in 2019. At Collins Aerospace, Jacob worked within the Missile and Systems team supporting competitive intelligence and corporate strategy objectives. Major initiatives included price-to-win strategies, technology roadmapping, and opportunity assessments. 

Jacob graduated in 2021 from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Policy Analysis & Management. His studies included research on U.S. infrastructure policy and public-private partnerships. Jacob held positions as President of the Global Economics & Finance Society, as well as Business Development Lead for the Cornell Hyperloop engineering project team.
