John Scrocco

John joined Fairmont’s Washington, D.C. office as an Analyst in 2023, after having interned with the firm during the prior summer. He primarily focuses on engagements in the defense and government services sectors, where he has supported buy-side due diligence, capital raises, and strategic assessments for private equity-owned, venture-backed, and publicly-traded defense companies. Since joining Fairmont, he has supported over 25 aerospace and defense engagements across a range of domains.

In addition to his responsibilities with Fairmont, John is a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserve, serving as the S2 for the 14th Psychological Operations Battalion, 7th Psychological Operations Group (Airborne), U.S. Army Pacific Command, based in Mountain View, California. He previously served as an Executive Officer within the 323rd Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Meade following completion of the Military Intelligence Basic Officer Leadership Course at Fort Huachuca, Arizona, in October 2024.

John graduated from Georgetown University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Economy. While at Georgetown, he was a four-year member of the Hoya Battalion (ROTC), where he participated in research efforts focused on global threats within U.S. Northern and Southern Commands (NORTHCOM and SOUTHCOM). He also served as Treasurer of the Georgetown University Armed Forces Association (GUAFA), securing external sponsorships and organizing charitable events. He currently holds a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
