Mariana McManus

Mariana joined Fairmont’s Boston Office as an Analyst in 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Mariana worked as a design engineer for Pratt and Whitney working on the F135 Engine Core Upgrade for the F-35 Lightning II flown by the U.S Air Force. In this role she supported the new design development of high pressure turbine static hardware to improve blade tip clearances and overall engine performance. Before a rotation in design, Mariana worked as a project engineer in Pratt and Whitney’s Operational Commercial Engines group, providing aftermarket engineering support on the F117/PW2000, V2500 and PW4000 112” programs. Most noteworthy was Mariana’s position as a project lead on a F117 combustor durability improvement for the C-17 Globemaster flown by the U.S Air Force. Mariana led an integrated product team through the first stakeholder alignment review where she later received an award for her leadership and collaboration. Throughout her tenure at Pratt and Whitney, Mariana received three project awards, nominations for two company-wide leadership awards and was recognized as a top new hire.

Prior to Pratt and Whitney, Mariana interned at TEAM Inc. as a project engineer and supported R&D of Carbon Matrix Composite (CMC) deliverables for United Technologies and Pratt & Whitney.

Mariana graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Business. While at Syracuse, Mariana was a member of both the Varsity Women’s Track Team and Alpha Chi Omega Fraternity. Prior to graduation, Mariana was inducted into Sigma Gamma Tau, The National Aerospace Engineering Honors Society for her academic efforts.
